What services does Northwest Wellness Center offer?
We specialize in preventive and precision medicine, helping you assess and enhance your health. Your journey begins with a comprehensive evaluation, including:
- In-depth consultations
- Lab testing
- Review of past medical records and imaging (if needed)
From there, we work with you to develop a personalized health plan for long-term wellness.

Can I consult with your physicians if I don’t live in Ashland?
Yes! We offer consultations for Oregon residents in person, by phone, or via video chat.
- If you live outside Oregon and want to see Dr. Gordon, your first visit and at least one annual visit must be in person at our Ashland office.

Do I need a computer to access services?
Our patient portal makes it easy to manage:
- Secure messaging
- Forms
- Billing
- Test results
While using the portal is recommended, we also offer paper copies and phone support when needed.

Does Northwest Wellness Center accept insurance?
We are a cash-based practice and do not accept insurance. However, we provide Health Insurance Claim Forms (superbills) for potential reimbursement. We also accept Health Savings Account (HSA) payments.
Note: Medicare and related plans do not qualify for reimbursement.

Are lab tests and imaging covered by insurance?
Most lab work and imaging are covered by conventional insurance plans, including Medicare. However, some specialized tests may have additional fees if processed outside standard facilities. Coverage varies by plan, so we recommend checking with your provider.

When are providers available?
Our practitioners are available during the following hours:
- Deborah Gordon, MD – Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9:30-5:00 PM depending on availability.
- Monika Mehrens, DO – Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9:30-5:00 PM depending on availability.
- Maggie Iba – Variable Schedule, call for schedule availability

How do I get started?
Call us to schedule your first appointment or a 20-minute Exploratory Visit with one of our providers.
For out-of-state patients: Your first visit must be in person at our Ashland office.
